Furnace Creek

We drove through a fantastic lightening storm last night.  When the lightening hit, it would feel like daylight momentarily.  We also drove through a wash that we estimated was 100 feet long and at least a foot deep at 70 mph.  When we got through the water, we all took a few breaths and thanked our stars that the car didn't lose control.

It is warm here. It is quiet. It is still.  The race starts tomorrow.  Brian is ready.  The coolers are packed, the gear is checked.
